Baby Delano 2

Today was the big day that all mothers anxiously await...the first official meet and greet with your new baby! We went in today at 10:00 for the ultrasound and got to hear a very strong heartbeat (161)! That is the sweetest sound we have heard since we found out I was preggo! I saw Danielle Elliott afterwards and everything looks great and we are on track to welcome this baby around April 3rd.

This pregancy has been very similar to my first pregancy with Lane, but I've had a little more nausea. I have not gotten sick, just nauseous. I know I have a little tummy and was really afraid that I had just gained a bunch of weight, but at the Dr. visit today, it showed I had lost 4 lbs. I was kind of glad to hear that because it confirms that yes, I have a baby belly and not just a fat belly! HA! I confirmed with Danielle that I have been eating 3 meals a day with snacks and drinks in between, but have just been eating and drinking healthier than pre-pregnancy.

Now, according to Lane, he knows that I have a baby in my belly. He talks about it some, but about two weeks ago he told me "Mommy, you have a baby in your belly." And I said "yes, your right, I do". And he said, "No, mommy, you don't have a baby in your belly, you have a dinosaur in your belly...A T-Rex dinosaur!" Oh, my, how he will be disappointed!

I am sure that Lane and I will have many more interesting conversations before baby Delano #2 gets here in April!

RTR!

Jesslyn called us last week and asked if were interested in some FREE skybox tickets for the San Jose State game...and needless to say we graciously accepted! Her father in law was able treat the Delano's to a wonderful experience in the Morgan/Keegan skybox and what an awesome experience it was! And for a pregnant lady who is hungry all the time, I was definately pleased with the spread of food that was available to us! HA!

Here are a few pictures from our trip! Roll Tide!

This guy was cracking me up...he was completely covered in pompoms!

We had a great time hanging out in the skybox! Next Saturday, Austin and I will head back to T-town for the Penn-State game to treat ourselves for our birthdays! We love some Alabama football!

Beach Bums

We decided to take a last minute trip to PCB and are so happy that we did! We were blessed to have Austin's parents, his sister Jesslyn and her husband Michael and Austin sis Tressa join us. The beach was gorgeous and in Lanes words "the ocean is BOOTIFUL, mommy!" Lane really enjoyed the beach, but would only sit on the edge of the ocean and let the water roll up to his legs. He absolutely LOOOOVVVVED the pool and even got brave enough to jump in from the side (huge accomplishment from a few weeks ago of absolutely refusing to get in a pool!)!

Here are a few pics from our PCB trip.

Lane was obsessed with the shower to rinse off the sand. He would have played in it all day!

When we returned on Sunday evening, we got partially unpacked, I had AMSTI training on Monday and Tuesday, then left for Gulf Shores on Thursday with my sis, nieces, my mom and a few ladies with their children from Macedonia. It was a quick trip, but again, the beach was beautiful and we had a great time.

My sister and her beautiful girls!

The whole gang.

Beautiful nieces

Handsome Lane

I caught my nephew and his new "girlfriend" on the balcony having a very deep discussion about the pool next door! LOL

Look at those muscles!

We had two great trips to two beautiful beaches!

New Projects

Here are two of my latest projects for my bestie, Ashlee, who found out about 8 months ago that she was prego (SURPRISE)! She already has two boys, Timothy (11) and Jackson (6), and gave birth to her precious daughter, Lillian today (about 4 1/2 weeks early). I hope to visit them tomorrow or Monday, and will post pics afterwards.

Here is a mod podge "L"...

and a personalized canvas.

The lighting in the pictures are dark, but you get the idea and the canvas is sitting crooked on the chair when I took the picture. I thought they turned out super cute and match Miss Lillian's bedding extremely well!

Congratulations Brandon, Ashlee, Timothy and Jackson! Love you!

Summer Happenings

Our summer has been fun, relaxing and busy! I have posted several pictures from different events and playdates from this summer. The first set of pictures is from our vacation with my family. We decided to cancel our beach trip and travel to Gatlinburg instead. It ended up being a very wise decision b/c the oil hit orange beach the week that we were supposed to go.

Me, Lane and Austin visited the aquarium.

Driving through Cades Cove. Never, ever, again will I go to Cades Cove in the summer! We sat in traffic for almost 45 minutes at a stand still and I was slightly irritated at the idiots blocking the rest of the traffic to take a picture of one little bitty bear. Come on people, did you not read the signs that say "PULL OVER TO TAKE PICS!!) Any way, back to a happy blog:)Yes, Lane is out of his car seat and in his Daddy's lap...after all, we WERE NOT moving due to the idiots...oh, I already mentioned that!

My niece eating the push up that Lane would not eat. He does not get his eating habits from me! LOL

My daddy was exhausted. He had worked the midnight shift the night before he and AUstin drove up to Gatlinburg. We were at Ober Gatlinburg the 2nd day, and he and Taylor went inside to take a little snooze! LOL

Water ride in Ober.

River Otters

Lane riding the airplanes.

There are many more vacation pictures but I will spare you the monotony!

Lane and his new swingset (it was actually for his birthday in April, but we did not get around to putting it up until June).

Lane, Brooks and Collier at Deibert Park fun playing on the playground, feeding fish, and eating watermelon! Brooks can really put down some watermelon! He and Lane were cracking me up taking turns eating their piece of watermelon!

Life is good in the Delano household this summer! I am looking forward to the next few weeks of doing whatever comes our way!

Tickle your Tastbuds!

Oh, my word...have you tried these?? They are a wonderful frozen sorbet bar by Snapple and are fantastic! I found them at Fred's and will have to go back for more! There are 10 in a pack and were only $1. I can't complain about a 10 cent snack.
A ten ounce box contains ten 1-ounce bars. Place them in the freezer for a sweet, tangy, icy treat. There is two tablespoons of sorbet in each bar, less than 30 calories, 5g of sugar, naturally flavored, no artificial colors and made with real sugar.
They come in 4 flavors: Snapple Apple, Mango Madness, Kiwi Strawberry and Fruit Punch. All I can say is these little bars tickled my tastebuds!

Who is this??

We asked Lane who the person is in the following picture...

Can you guess what he said??

I guess I should include that the picture is my brother, Mannon, when he was about a month older than Lane.

Lane found the picture at my moms and was carrying it around showing us "his" picture.
